The Hungarian prospect Gabor Veto (21/Varpalota) will face “The Snake Man“ Omari Ramadan (19/Tanzania) for the vacant WBC Youth World lightweight title in the ArteCad Arena in Tramelan, Switzerland on April 17th, 2010.

The WBC Vice-President Rex Walker from Texas, USA confirmed that the unbeaten WBC no. 22 ranked lightweight Gabor Veto will fight against Omari Ramadan (7-4-1, 4 KOs) for the WBC World Youth title. The Tanzanian was accepted of the WBC Youth Championships Committee because he only lost against strong opponents like unbeaten Ali Chusseinov (17-0-0) and African champion Morris Chule by controversial decisions in foreign countries. They will fight for the most important Youth title worldwide. Former WBC Youth World lightweight champions were stars like Daniel Estrada, Rene Gonzalez, John Murray and Juan Diaz.

The African Omari Ramadan prepares in the legendary boxing-gym in the Tanzanian capital Dar-es-Salaam with his coach Moses Mfogo Sande. „I will make a serious preparation with many sparring sessions for this title-fight. There’s absolutely no doubt that I will knock this Hungarian guy out. I will be in the best shape of my life and will bring the WBC Youth belt home to my family,“ said Ramadani. And his manager Julius Odhiambo added: „Omari will show why everyone is calling him ‚The Snake Man‘ – I never see a Youth boxer with such excellent sidesteps and powerful upercuts. It becomes an unforgetable night for Gabor Veto!“

The Varpalotan Gabor Veto will make his preparation with his new coaches professional-boxer Nuri Seferi (WBC Mediteranean Champion) and Sandor Konya in Burgdorf, Switzerland. „The boxing-club Burgdorf of the Cruiserweight brothers Nuri and Sefer Seferi is one of the best in Europe. Topshots like Jonathan Banks (K2 Promotions) and Luan Krasniqi (Universum Box-Promotion) already trained there. It’s a very good atmosphere and it’s a honour to train there“, said Veto. His coach and friend Nuri Seferi : „I am sure that Gabor can win the WBC Youth World title. But he must become more aggressive and he needs more power. We will work on these things and I can promise an excellent show for the spectators!“

The promoter Angelo Fasolis is very proud to present this WBC Youth World title bout under the slogan „The impossible dream“ in his hometown Tramelan. „I am so happy that Gabor will fight again in Tramelan. He already fought here as an amateur-boxer and once as professional-boxer against Traian Dimitrov. He is a very attractive professional-boxer and beside the ring he is a very nice person. I promise that all the spectators here will stand like a wall behind Gabor!“ The WBC officials will be : As supervisor Peter Stucki (Switzerland), as referee Fabian Guggenheim (Switzerland), as judge Guido Cavalleri (Italy), Jürgen Langos (Germany) and Predrag Aleksic (Montenegro).
