Optimum Sports Agency would like to congratulate Ahmed “Prince of Egypt” Samir on winning a workman like decision against the tough experienced Tyrone Smith (5-5-2) on Wednesday night at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC.

Ahmed (197 ¼) came out strong behind a good jab and tried to land his clubbing right hand, in the second round Ahmed started to go to the body more and appeared to hurt Smith (196) on several occasions, then towards the end of the 2nd round Ahmed landed the right hand which put Tyrone down for an 8 count, (Smith complained that it was from a punch to the back of the head), with little time remaining Smith was able to see out the round.

Round 3 was dominated by Ahmed, yet it appeared that he was getting tired and wasn’t working in the clinches, in the corner before the start of the 4th round, Ahmed was told to let his hands go and work, which he did to good effect and at the bell a jubilant Ahmed Samir climbed the corner ropes to thank the large crowd that had come to see him.

The judges decision was unanimous with all 3 judges scoring the bout 40-35 in favor of Samir and taking his record to 4-0.

The main event of the night was “Mighty”Mike Arnaoutis (21-2) against Ben Ankrah (11-8) which was void of many highlights and was won by Arnaoutis who keeps his world title aspirations alive.

Ahmed Samir will be back in the ring at the Roseland on December 4th for his 3rd bout in as many months.
